Within the framework of the 84th International Scientific Conference of the University of Latvia, the project “Water Cultures” organized the section “Hydrosocial Approaches to Water Research and Governance”, held on 15 April 2026 in collaboration with the section “Nature and Society in an Interdisciplinary Perspective”.  

The section presented research results from the project, addressing human–water relations, environmental activism, hydrosocial imaginaries, the materiality of water, governance practices, and their historical and ethical dimensions.
